-2 cups: cranberries, 1 large firm
pear, • 3/4 cup sugar, 1 envelope
plain /unflavored gelatin, 1/4 .cup'
cold water, grated rind '1 orange.
'12 cup chopped celery, 1 cup gin-
ger ale. Wash -cranberries; pare
and core pear; put• both through
Wood tehoplier. Mix . with • sugar
and let stand 30 min. Soak �gela-
tin in cold water 5.min. Dissolve
over, hot water. Add to first mix-
ture with remaining ,ingredients
MIX well and pour into : mold.
Chill till firm.'

tbsp.:cinnamon, :1 tsp soda, grat-
ed rind:. --of 1/2. lemon, 1 yup
blanched almonds, sliced thin,
23/4 cups flour. Heat 1/z cup sugar `
and 'Honey, to ,boiling. Rernove
from heat, add .peel, spices and:
soda, 'dissolved 'in.' 2 tbsp::'cold.
water. Adid remaining irig'regi-
eats. Knead until •well blended.
Roll dough" to 1/2 inch thickness.,
Put, on greased .:waxed . paper on,
cookie ' sheet. Bake in moderate
oven, .325 .degrees, for aborTt- 25
Turn' out ,on wire rack ` and
remove paper: Turn •right '' side
up. Cook remaining lie cup sugar
and 1/4 cup .water until mixture
