Heat Resistance And Wetting Power.
Chem -Tune motor, tune-up oil is %an upper -cylinder lubricant
designed definitely -;for the purpose of `withstanding the 'in-
tensive'1eat of .com'bustion'encountered in modernnhigh.;speed
engines' of today This Iubricant 'contains. properties :possess-
ed by no • other product advertised _for similar : use. The .' es-
sential lubricant in Chem -Tune offers a .resistance'to heat
that is almost •unbelievable; by showing no flash or --fire
point at combustion 'temperatures. Friction, heat and dilution
tend only to increase. the. lubricity or "wetting. power". of.
Chem -Tune: ,Consequently' Chem -Tune lubricated metals :can
neither run hot, seize 'or. 'score.
Solvent Action ;Plus Lubrication
;.Chem -Tune permits quick .distribution, and effectively wets..`

leaves no.•harmful. residue: after being subjectecd` to the ex,
r treme heat :of combustion, It, has .a. positive' solvent action on
gum• and oxidized .(carbon) ' residue 'already; formed on valve
stems, guides and upper piston. ring surfaees and instantly
`removes: such residue, leaving instead an indestructible film

Starting'and Warming Up Periods
Since very little oil Works past the rings .of -,a modern. engine, •
it is essential that , a high quality upper .cylinder lubricant
is used during. the; starting and warming -up .periods. Ex-
'haust gases condense so rapidly that the motor dispels large
quantities of 'water; which'tends to. cause 'rust ..and 'resultant'
sticking 'valves. Chem -Tune motor tune-up oil .'corrects this
harmful action by supplying ,positive'lu},cation to all parts
of the combustion chamber.
For ' Instant Motor Tune- Up
Run 4,oz. to 6 oz.' of Chem -Tune .motor tune-up oil through
air 'intake of carburetor ; or 'Manifold withmotor . ' running
slightlyfaster than idle. (Time required for 'this 'treatment
approximately 10 minutes):. Thenblow out excessive vapors
by accelerating motor •raprdiy, for a .few seconds. '••T e' car-

creases eoinpression seal, .lessens frictional drag, reduces
mechanical wear .and insures against engine failure ••due tq
