sequence of sad events last 'Week.
First there >was -;'the drowning ' of
little Janice Reid, and on. Wed-:
nesday the sudden death ;of
George • Alton, which 'w:occiirred
shortly • atter he had received.
word ' of the death of his • uncle, •

It was later learned, that dur—
ing that short time, Chas. Fowler,
the 'Rawleigh 'dealer, had called •
and was speaking with George.
That• was •about 11.10 a:m: `IVIrs.,

his eyesight to a point where: •
