Mrs. Brooks was one .Of five daughters of the late Peter Mac Laren, and Sidney .Ramsay, and was lborn in Lucknow where her father was, bus 'driver for many. years. The farnily left, here about 1901 following his death. A sister .of •Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. 0 TAOF'_.SF+vth. Ethel Treleaven, died in Janu- ary. Two other sisters ansa -,pr. e, deceased her, Mrs.. Flossie Thynne,who was Ethers twin,. and Mrs. Lila' .
