A heart attack- which he guf-
fered; In his sleep proved fatal
within a few minutes to Carrick
Douglas at his home in New York
City on Wednesday, March• 30th.
While CarriCk's death was sud-'
den, he had had. previoug seiz-
ures which left him with .a ser-
'ars—heart • condition, and the.
knowledge that his szlas. were
numbered. He. was in his ,53rd
year. , • •
• Carrick was born and -reared
in Lucknow • Where he .reeeiVecl
•his '.education, . He Was a son of
the late Geage H. Douglas and
Isabel Carrick, and by his friendt.,
folly: manner was. Popular
With all who ,knew-him.He was
• possessed of a'•beatitiful voice,
and gave tingparingly of his tal-
.e.nts• in hi's horne town. and in
•the Presbyterian Church choir,
so long ,as • he ........here, and•
whenever he had occasion' to re-
turn. On visits to the old home
toWn, he was the type who 'bub-
bled. over ! with happiness to
meet old friends. ••
