appears'to be some misunderstanding
with regard to• those who may attend,
the to' in'and village folk having the
inzpressioii that the .school is for
• country' residents only. This' is' not
the case, as the course is•free and the
school 'open to everybody from town

The community was greatly sad=
dened on Wednesday of last week,
when it was learned. that Mrs. D.
Grant, :of the 10th'. Con.,9lad 'pissed
away in the Hospital 'at ,Wingham•
Mrs. "Grant was formerly' Miss'IBessie
Mackenzie,, of the 4th,;Con., Culross,
and'`a daughter of the' late Mr• • and•
Mrs. A, Mackenzie;•• She leaves to
mourn, a husband • and three young
children, two boys . and a girl: Mrs.
Grant had not enjoyed good health
for about a, year, and two weeks' be-
fore her death she was takento the
Wingham' Hospital' and operated on
for the removal ,of a tumor.' A'secor d
operation was undertaken on. Tuesday
of last week, and from this she ralli-
ed for some time, but on Wedpesday
she began slowly to sinkand. passed'
-;away in. the •afternoon. The' funeral
was on Friday afternoon.- - •
