ISSUE A - 25 FRIDAY, JULY 30,
Etiltor's Corner
There's no point getting excited about the
nonsense and B. S. that goes on in the
world because nobody seems to give a damn
anyway.
It doesn't matter whither it is the Israeli
slaughter of the innocent in Beirut, the
corruption of the Vatican wheeling and deal-
ing in the international money markets, the
civil wars going on in Great Britain, El
Salvador and other countries, the revolving
door of cur courts that puts crim;nals back
on the streets within hours of a crime, mur-
der in our cities, world hunger and the
m_'llions of starving children, governmental
arrogance, mismanagement, and incompetency,
the communist gorilla mauling its captives
in Europe and Asia, the nuclear arms race.
The list seems endless.
Any one of the above issues should rally the
sincere and intelligent to battle. However
when one encounters the apathy and even the
acceptance on the part of governments and
individuals of the most irrationaland im-
moral behaviour, one wonders if it is worth
it. People ^^em to >-'ave lest their moral
cor:sciousness and simply don't seem to give
two hoots in a hurricane about wha3 gcii ng on.
