GRADE I's VISIT THE FERGUSON APIARIES
The day following their visit to the Apiaries
i went to Mrs. Swan's room and interviewed
Kelly Rathwell, Tyler Brady and verek Gridzak.
I asked Kelly if she had seen some live bees
and her reply was, "No, but we saw some dead
bees though." Tyler thought it was very
interesting and Derek liked when they went
out by the bee hives.
They 211 thought it was very interesting.
They were shown a film on what bees do all
year-round. Mrs. Swan thought that Mrs.
Ferguson was a nice hostess. She must have
enjoyed the trip as much as the pupils did.
Note: This is to remind all the pupils that
you can stay in bed and let your "moms"
and "dads" rest because there is a P.D. Day
on Friday, October 30.

POTTERY CLUB (Bayfield)
The group interested in a Pottery Club met in
the Library on Friday. A report on the receipt
of the New Horizons Grant was given, and all
the requirements which are set up by this grant
were reviewed and discussed.
The obligations were accepted and now each
person will be expected to put in a given
amount of time and talent to make the workshop
an interesting and worthwhile place.
A motion was made to order the kiln and potters
wheels from Stratford Clay Co.
Mr. Harold Seaman is looking after the wiring
contract with Tony Hutchings.
Mr. Frank Burch is our treasurer.
Mrs. Myrtle Robinson agreed to be our secre-
tary.
Mr. Geo. Chapman has offered to head up the
group doing the remodelling necessary, while
on Wednesday our first clean-up party will
meet in the Town Hall Kitchen to prepare the
area for painting the floor.
If you wish to contribute to the group, or if
you are interested in joining please contact
Margaret Chapman, Frank Burch, or Myrtle
Robinson for more information.
