ANGLICAN CHURCH NEWS - Bayfield
Tuesday evening, February 2, the congregation
of Trinity Anglican Church joined together for
a delicious pot -luck supper, prior to their
annual Vestry Meeting.
Following the bountiful meal, Chairman Rev.
Douglas Pitts called the meeting to order with
prayer and the congregation observed a minute's
silence in memory of Canon Paull.
People's Warden, Harry Baker, then presented
a purse of money to Rev. William Bennett who
had retired on Jan. 1st as Rector of Trinity,
expressing regret and thanking him for his
leadership and guidance these past six years.
Mrs. Bennett was presented with a beautiful
wicker pot of several potted plants by
Mrs. Lorna Merner. Miss Kay Reid also pre-
sented Mrs. Bennett with a pot of flowering
hyacinths and a pot of flowering miniature
iris from the winter startings of the late
Canon Paull. Mrs. Bennett was also thanked
for her help of the organizations. Rev. and
Mrs. Bennett fittingly replied and because
they are staying in the Parish, their faces
will be welcomed in the Village and in the
Church life as well.
Reports by the various organizations were
accepted and committees appointed business
approved for the following year. Votes of
thanks were extended and the Benediction
followed adjournment.

THE BAYFIELD LIONS CLUB
The Bayfield Lions have sent out a call for
old or used hearing aids. The hearing aids
will be sent down to the John Robarts School
in London where any repairs needed will be
made. The hearing aids will then be given to
students at the school and others who have a
hearing impairment.
If you have an old or used hearing device
gathering dust at your home give a Bayfield
Lion a call and turn that dead device into a
hearing ear. { '
