"And the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid,
for behold, I bring you good news of great joy
which shall be to all the people; for today in
the town of David a Savior has been born to you,
who is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a
sign to you; you will find an infant wrapped
in swaddling clothes and lying in a 4anger.' "

The :'rth of a Child has become the ocal
point of time.
Jesus gave man a blueprint for happiness.
He told man why he existed, where he was
going, and how to get there.
Some say the plan of Jesus doesn't work.
Others say that it hasn't been tried.
Whether one sees Jesus as the Son of God
or not, no one has ever influenced the course
of history or the behaviour of man as this
Child has done.
Christmas lights symbolize the light of
truth and the warmth of affection that
radiate from the personality of Jesus.
Hopefully the Christmas lights that burn in
our homes symbolize the same realities.

FRIENDS WHO WERE THERE
I used to be a proud tree,
These shattered boards are all that is
left of me,
Don't worry Babe 1 will shelter Thee.
I used to grow ripe and brown in the field,
1 can't give you Babe the grain 1 used to
yield,
I'm only straw but against the dampness 1
can you shield.
I used to keep rich travellers warm at night,
Now I'm a blanket draped over animals to
serve their plight,
But to keep you warm Babe will be my delight.
I used to pull milk carts all day from early
morn,
I'm an old ox now and have lost my form,
But I'll stand by Babe and keep you warm.
we are the stars that look down at you from
the sky,
We are your guard of honor Babe from on high,
To salute you as on a mat of straw you lie.
It's your mother holding you little Dove
May the angels guard you from above
I can't give you much, but I can give you love.
