ZURICH
In a meeting that lasted less than two hours
Zurich Council met on November 11 and quickly
disposed of the business at hand.
Present were reeve Fred E. Haberer
Councillors Isidore Laporte, Leroy
Thiel, and Dan Turkheim,
reports from the four committees were given
and committee meeting minutes were read and
accepted. The committee reports included
Hydro -Water, Finance and Property, Streets,
Sidewalks and Drains, and Recreation.
The Ministry of the Environment is sponsor-
ing a seminar on the Environmental Assessment
Act and Municipalities on Jan. 18 and 19, 1982,
in London.
Correspondence re Agriculture Canada and its
anti -rabies vaccination clinics was discussed,
Village Counci]. wants a clinic to be held in
Zurich for the convenience of area farmers.
A letter to this effect has been sent to the
Mini stry.
A By-law to regulate the issuance of tax
certificates and a By-law to form a program of
recreation was passed.
The meeting adjourned around 9 p.m.
