two years ago. For m ny years he work-

a position in the Union factory. • The
writer has known debeased for upwards
of 20 years and for he past few years
very intimately, and ,ways found him a
true friend, strictly honest and upright
in all his dealings, o'nd his many good
qualities will not soon be forgotten. In
religion he was a Methodist and in poli-
tics, a Liberal. He had for upwards of
twenty-five years been a member of
Maitland Lodge and Minerva Encamp-
ment of the I. 0. 01 F., and he took a
deep interest in the work of this society.
He was for years the faithful Financial
Secretary oi Maitland Lodge, and in
this capacity always had the welfare of
the members at hedrt, and unless illness
prevented he wasnown to have missed
only one meeting of the lodge. He
married Mrs. Oldfield, who with a fam-

him. They have the sympaty of a large

is the theme which we bring to
your notice at this time.
Some wise man has said, My
son, get wisdom, and with all thy
getting get understanding."
The wise man to day says, "Get
a new suit or overcoat, and when
you are getting, get it made to
your order in your own town,
where you know what you are
getting, and that it is genuine
tailor - made." That would be
wisdom ; that would be under-
standing.
Our New Spring Goods have

at prices corresponding with the
qualities shown.

desired. We are dealing in
strong statements, but will back
it up, that we have yet to find the
style of garment we cannot dupli-

styles are more in line with
strictly high - class tailoring this
season, it is for you to name your
