A quantity of sunflower seed added to the corn sown for ensilage pnrpoaea adds to the quality of the mixture, as the sunflower seeds are very rich in veget- able fate. There died at his home in Egmond ville on Monday, May 3rd one of the early settlers of this section in the per- son of Christopher Toms, who up to a about month ago, had been in fairly good health, but he gradually gave, way under his weight of years, death coming after a long and well spent life.
