The quarterly offioial meeting of the
Auburn circuit was held in Auburn
Methodist ohuroh on Monday evening
of last week. It was found that the
coupon system which was introduced a
year ago had worked very ancooesfnlly,
all the finances being well up and each
appointment having a small sum to the
good.

The boys of Wingham Junction had
a game of baseball with Bluevale on the
8th,, the more being 9 to 1 in favor of
the Junction. The return game win be
played in Wm. Maxwell's field, Thriday
evening of this week. Mr, Chas. Elliott
was the referee and did good work; he
will also be referee on Friday evening.

deoeased, who had been ill for about a
year with tuberculosis, was born in the
State of Pennsylvania nearly 43 years
ago, and came to Blyth over 35 years
ago. fie was an engineer and worked
on the 0. P. R. for some years in the
vicinity of North Bay.
