The arrest was made by high Constable Gundry at Lucan. Although the burning of the hotel took place over a year ago, evidence on whioh the arrest ootid be made was lacking until recently. A remand of eight days was made to allow of the Crown's getting witnesses. At the ripe age of 84 years Mre. Patience Armstrong died at her daugh- ter's home in Auburn, on April 14th, Deoeaeed had been in failing health for about two yearn, death being due to old deolino.
