There is an immense difference between a tonic and a
stimulant. Up one day, way back the next; that's
stimulant. Steady progress day by day toward perfect
health; that's a tonic. Ayer's Sarsaparilla is a tonic,
a strong tonic. The only Sarsaparilla entirely free from
alcohol. Do not stimulate unless your doctor .says so.
He knows. Ask him. Do as he says. j. c. Ayer Co., Lowe11,112ass.
Constipation is the one great cause of sick -headache, biliousness, indigestion, bad
breath, debility, nervousness. Iias your doctor ever recommended Ayer's Pitts to yoga?

Pity This Poor Carl.
Growing fast—yes, into weakness,
but without strength. Tired of course
she is—pale and thin too. She doesn't
eat enough and digests far too little.
This oondltlon is so common, but how
seldom noticed even by fond parents.
Give her Ferrozone—thea watoh her
appetite improve—see her cheeks and
lips grow ruddy—watch her spirits rise.
This gain is simply the result of gating
and digesting enough, and thereby nour-
ishing blood, brain and nerves. To a
woman Ferrozone restores strength she
had loot—to a girl it brings strength per-
haps she never knew. You'll try Fete

Mr. Geo. Dixon, of Grey township,
lost a horse in a peculiar manner while
driving home from Listowel on Monday
night of last week,. While going along
the boundary a short distance west of
the town his horse stepped partly in
the waggon rut at the side of the road
and broke what aro known as the
"ooffin bones" in its foot below the
pastern. Apparently the rut was not
a deep one, and the breaking of a
horse's leg from such a oaase is a very
rare o0onrrence. The horse had to be
shot.
We regret to state that Thee. MoFad-
zean, jr., a well known young man of
the 17th con. of Grey township, whose
farm was 13 miles from Walton, was
called away from the earthly home on
17th inst. He had been an invalid for
upwards of a year from nerve paralysis
that appeared to bid defianoe to the bast
available medical aid although he was a
splendid specimen of physical manhood.
A light cold was oontraoted followed by
pneumonia and in his condition the ail-
ment speedily did its work to the great
sorrow of the community at large. Ile
was a son of Thos. and Mrs. MoFadzean,
old residents of this Iooality and grew
up to possess the esteem of everybody
for his many manly gnalitiee. He was
married to Miss Dora Kenny, who with
one child, is left to hold in kindly mem-
ory the life of her husband. Deceased
was a member of the Presbyterian
church and took an active interest in the
general welfare of ,,the neighborhood.
Funeral took place on Monday afternoon
