Here- to fore Bervie Purple Grove Kinloss, Armow, Millarton and Zion formed this Circuit. A vote was put to the people and they agreed to the change being made without one dissenting vote. There will be two appointments -Bervie, Purple Grove and Kinloss forming one and known fts, Bervie Circuit; An/low, Millarton and Zion the other and known as the Armow Circuit with a superintendent over each During the last church year Caxia- .dian Methodism lost a total of 81 preachers from active ministery • 31 • by resignation and 50 by superannua- tion. In the saute year there were bnlyl 24 young men .-received as candi- dates for the ministry. That means a net loss to the church of 57 clergy- men., These figures were given by Rev. R. J. D. Simpson, superannua- tion fund treasurer, and the natural deduction he thinks is that the low salaries paid to the preachers are keeping some bright young men out of the ministry. Beautiful weather, Large' audiences, and excellent sermons all combined to make the anniversary services in South Kinloss, • Presb'y Church most enjoyable to all. Rev. John Nichokon 13.
