Fred Webb .is not recovering as
quickly as his friends would wish.
-The annual meeting of Calvin
Presbyterian Church was held, the
attendance - was goodconsiderinit
weather conditidns. The spirit of
the meeting was also good.' Miring
the year almost $4816.00 was raised
for all purposes, 1 8436.00 going to
Missions, and the balance was divid-
ed between running expenses, the
new shed and a Memorial Bell. Th -r
membership roll shows 184. They
also brought up the stipend of their
m$nist r,' Rev. Robt. Jamieson to the
new minimum.

fortune ,to break his. hay press lately
which will delay operations for a few
clays.
Mr. Gibson C'illespie expects to fin-
ish the contract this week of supply-
ing the ice for the Whitechurch
('ramery, for the corning season some
of the ice is reportd 27 inches in thick-
ness, no. wonder the coal bins are look-
ing sick.
Mr. Walter Lott had the misfortune
to loose a valuable horse recently.
