It would be much more satisfactory for mail service, though not so good for those making a trip to Toronto and return. ' With a mid-day service we would get our newspapers on the day on which they are printed, and business correspondence could be read and much of it answered by the outgoing mail of the same day. As it is a letter- arrives about 11 - p.m. and is not delivered -..untie -after' - the outgoing train has gone. A re- ply cannot go out -.until the second morning after the letter arrives.. -.The morning and night service tot is -not so satisfactory to: those -served by the rural mail delivery, especially where delivery. can be made in the afternoon.
