WHEREVER PARISIAN SAGE Id

Parisian Sage, that moat efficient of
all hair restorers, is a very delightful
and refreshing hair dressing, Besides
possessing these qualities it will positive-
ly make any women's hair soft, luxur-
iant and attraotive. Welton MgKibbon

you are dissatisfied.
Just read this: "After using one
bottle of Parisian Sage, I now have a
better growth of hair and I found your
Hair Restorer pleasant to use. After
the first applioation, the dandruff dis-
appeared and my hair stopped falling
out, and it has been restored to its natu-

Parisian Sage to all my lady friends.
-Lottie Real, 111 Mt. Hope Ave.,

They Changed the Subject.
A certain lady, whose given name is
Mary, as is also the name of her
daughter, had recently engaged a
domestic when, to her embarrassment,
she discovered that the servant's
name, too, was Mary.
Whereupon there ensued a struggle
to induoe the applicant to relinquish
her idea that she must be addressed
by her Christian name. For some time
she was rigidly uncompromising.
•'Under the circumstances," said the
lady of the house, "there is nothing
to do but to follow the English cus-
tom and nail you by your last name.
What is it?"
"Well, mum," answered the girl
dubiously, "it's 'Darling.' "

stomach, or if you have heartburn, that
is a sign of Indigestion.
Ask your Pharmacist for a 50•oent

A TRUE MAN.
The man of life upright,
Whose gnilelees heart is free
From rill dishonest deeds,
Or thought of vanity;
The man whose silent days
In harmless joy are spent,
Whom hopes can not delude
Nor sorrow discontent:
That man needs neither towers
Nor armour for defence,
Nor sooret vaults to fly
From thnnder'e violence:
He only can behold
With unaffrighted eyes
The horrors of the deep
And terrors of the Skies.
Thus scorning all the nares

His wisdom heavenly things;

They Changed the Subject.
A certain lady, whose given name is
Mary, as is also the name of her
daughter, had recently engaged a
domestic when, to her embarrassment,
she discovered that the servant's
name, too, was Mary.
Whereupon there ensued a struggle
to induoe the applicant to relinquish
her idea that she must be addressed
by her Christian name. For some time
she was rigidly uncompromising.
•'Under the circumstances," said the
lady of the house, "there is nothing
to do but to follow the English cus-
tom and nail you by your last name.
What is it?"
"Well, mum," answered the girl
dubiously, "it's 'Darling.' "

An amicable settlement has been
reaohed between the 0 P. R. and the
Hawleys with reference to the prop-
erty expropriated by the company at
the harbor, The award of the beard of
arbitration some time ago was for
$30,000 for the property wanted by
the C P. R. and an appeal was made
from this, but now the matter has
been settled by the company's agreeing
to purchase all the Hawley property at
the harbor for $50,000. Each party
agrees to pay its own coats.
A TRUE MAN.
The man of life upright,
Whose gnilelees heart is free
From rill dishonest deeds,
Or thought of vanity;
The man whose silent days
In harmless joy are spent,
Whom hopes can not delude
Nor sorrow discontent:
That man needs neither towers
Nor armour for defence,
Nor sooret vaults to fly
From thnnder'e violence:
He only can behold
With unaffrighted eyes
The horrors of the deep
And terrors of the Skies.
Thus scorning all the nares
That fate or fortune brings,
He makes the heaven his book,
His wisdom heavenly things;
Good thoughts his only friends,
His wealth a well -spent age,
The earth his sober inn
And quiet pilgrimage,

Tells Why So Many Suffer from
Catarrh and Rheumatism.
A distinguished physician, famous
for his successful treatment of
catarrh and rheumatism, kidney and
bladder troubles, states asiu.'.ows
"Our climate being more or less
damp and changeable, is bad for
catarrh 'and rheumatism, and care
must be taken not to let these
trnuhles gain he:.dway. In additi:,n,
Le states that a great many Cana-
dians are careless in their habits,
and to this as much as climatic:, con-
ditions is due a great deal of the
trouble. Insufficient clothing and
improper eating will cause rheumatic
and catarrhal troubles in any cli•
mate.
This eminent authority gives the
following as the simplest and best
treatment known to science, and to
it he gives credit largely fur his
success: -
Fluid Extract Cascara r, rz.
Carriana Compound. 1 0z.
Syrup Sarsaparilla 6 os.
Directions : One teaspoonful after
each meal and at bedtime.
The ingredients are all vegetable,
and have a direct and spc ifcc action
on the liver. kidneys, and bowels,
eliminating all poisonous matter from
the system. Any drue•lrist can dis-
pense this, or you can buy the in-
gredients separately and mix at
home by shaking in a Dottie.
