Huron -Bruce MPP and PC Critic for
Small Business and Red Tape Lisa
Thompson called for the stop of a new
tax that she believes will affect smaller
entrepreneurs in the province.
In a press release, Thompson
affirmed her support of Simcoe North
Conservative MP Garfield Dunlop's pri-
vate members' bill trying to stop the
tax.
We must eliminate
unnecessary regulations
and taxes on business
to ensure they are able
to grow and thrive.
— Huron -Bruce MPP
Lisa Thompson
"We must eliminate unnecessary reg-
ulations and taxes on business to
ensure they are able to grow and thrive.
Together with my leader Tim Hudak
and the entire PC caucus, I will stand
up for small business in Ontario,"
Thompson said in the press release.
Thompson has a background in small
business, as she grew the Ontario Dairy
Goat Co-operative out of her own home
and cultivated the Teeswater-based
business into a multi-million dollar
province -wide company.
"I know first hand that small business
owners in this province face many chal-
lenges, including unnecessary govern-
ment regulations and taxes that add
delays and additional costs to busi-
nesses," she added.
