Our guest speaker was Dave Williams. He started with a story about a Talking Centipede. The Christ candle was lit by Grace Dolmage. Special music throughout the service by Garry Black, Bob Mann, Paul Docksta- der with Louise Dockstader accompanying them. Time with the young and young at heart was a story about a sparrow and swallow. During the service the trio sang and a social time with lunch was enjoyed after the service. HOME PLAN OF THE WEEK PLAN NUMBER 1-3-656 RELEASE DATE: OCT 26TH- NOV 1", 2013 GABLES AND PAINTED WOODWORK This three-bedroom family home, designed for a lot that slopes to the back, includes an unfinished basement that could serve as extra room for a growing family, an in-law suite or a mortgage helper. Entry is through a covered porch with double pilasters at one side, together with a veranda that would be perfect for a lounger or a pair of rocking chairs. The foyer includes a coat closet and a half wall to the right that allows a view into the great room, which enjoys a view to the front veranda and garden. A gas fireplace will cast its warmth as far as the dining room, and will make this area especially delightful during the cooler months. The dining area features a window to the side of the home, and is separated from the kitchen only by a prep island. The L-shaped counter configuration will save steps for the cook, who will also benefit from a double-doored pantry and a handy phone desk. A doorway to the sundeck that looks over the back garden will make serving outdoor meals a breeze. In the sleeping area, the master bedroom includes a spacious closet, as well as an extra -wide window sill that could do double duty as a window seat. There is a three-piece en -suite. In the corridor is a linen closet and a triangular display shelf for collectibles. The second and third bedrooms share a three-piece bath. Ceilings are nine feet high throughout. Completing the lay -out on the ground floor is the laundry room, with handy shelving, as well as a bench and coat hooks. A doorway leads to the double garage. Exterior finishes include horizontal siding with shingle accents in the gables and painted woodwork. This home measures 40 feet wide and 50 feet, six inches deep, for a total of 1,308 square feet, not including the unfinished basement included with the plans.
