Raising funds to help
raise a school
St. Anne's Indian Cultural night
featured jewelry and Christmas
ornaments made by the students,
a silent auction and henna artwork,
as well as the chance to contribute
to the student's building efforts by
purchasing a brick for the school
they will be constructing in India.
"All of us got something extra out of
the night," said Jodi Kuran, principal
at St. Anne's. "Our community was
able to feel they were showing
support for the Huron County youth
who are trying to make change
in the world. They were exposed
to a culture that exists in our
communities and I think anytime
the community comes together for a
good cause everybody walks away
feeling joyful."
