8 Huron Expositor • Wednesday, September 17, 2014 A learning experience at the Fall Fair Whitney South Huron Expositor Students from Seaforth Public School, as well as St. James', were treated to a day of agricultural education on Sept. 12. The day featured a num- ber of exhibits, as well as a scavenger hunt, to help kids get a closer look at farm life, as well as take in the home - craft submissions. A petting zoo, bouncy activities and 4-H competi- tions also entertained, while classes made their way through each activity throughout the day. For Maeve Adams and Emma Robinson, Grade 5 students at Seaforth Public School, the variety of ani- mals was definitely the high- light of the fair. "There was a horse and a donkey and calves," said Emma. "We also went in the bouncy castle for a while and I learned about smoothies," added Maeve. Jeremy Brock, vice principal at Seaforth Public School, explained it was great to see students getting a chance to experience things some of their class- mates do each day while liv- ing on a farm. "It them connect with their peers and have a greater appreciation for the community we live in," he said. "The kids were engaged and there were lots of activi- ties, from a bike rodeo to dif- ferent types of animals. It was a great day." Lane McClure with his Mom Kacie Wilsom play with some baby chicks.
