Doors Open Huron County event
combines local heritage and art
Doors Open Huron
County will be taking
place Sept. 13 and Sept.
14; featuring 38 sites open
to the public in communi-
ties across Huron County.
Under the theme Re -
imagine Huron: Step into
our Stories, this year's
event blends heritage and
arts to celebrate creativity
in Huron County. Visitors
to Doors Open sites will
hear the fascinating sto-
ries that the different
buildings and sites have to
tell, and will also get
inspired by the creative
talent that exists in Huron,
as each site will host a
local artist, musician or
craftsperson. All 38 sites
will offer a unique oppor-
tunity to hear live music,
view an art exhibit or take
in a demonstration, all
created or performed by
an artist who lives here.
In Goderich, residents
and visitors will have a
chance to visit Linda
Wiebe's Backyard Studio,
Huron County Museum,
Huron Historic Gaol, The
Livery, Huron Harp
School and Elizabeth's Art
Gallery. Doors Open
Huron County sites can
also be found in the com-
munities of: Bayfield,

to offer those with diabetes
