Reporting to the Advertising Manager, the successful candidate will generate advertising sales revenue by servicing existing clients and prospecting and building relationships that will result in new business development. Job Responsibilities: • Service existing advertising clients and prospect new accounts • Focus on business development and establishing new relationships • Develop proposals and multi -media solutions for clients • Understand client objectives and needs • Drive revenue to meet established targets and objectives • Meet regular deadlines for weekly publications and special editions • Establish online marketing opportunities Qualifications • Experience in print advertising sales or marketing and sales an asset • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written • Excellent presentation skills • Degree/diploma in marketing, business, communication or public relations an asset • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation We are looking for an independent self-starter who will bring enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and the ability to take direction. Geertje "Gay" (nee vanLingen) Salverda, formerly of RR#1 Londesborough, born in Oudeleye, Holland, was in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Pier "Peter" Salverda (Nov. 13, 2004). Loving mother of Clara and Sam DeVries of Exeter, Ed and Mary Salverda, John and Arlene Salverda, all of RR#1 Londesborough, and Nancy and Jack Lubbers of RR#4 Walton. Adored Grandma of 15 and Great -Grandma of 18. Also survived by her brother-in-law Mike; sisters- in-law Klaasje, Helen, Ida; and a nephew Johannes vanLingen. Visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, May 16th from 7-9 p.m. and continued on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Gay's funeral service at 10:45 a.m. Rev. David Kranendonk officiated the service. The Pallbearers were Brian and Craig Salverda, Kyle Egbert, Jeremy Smid, Nick and Dan Lubbers; and the Flower Bearers were Laura Egbert, Jannyne Smid, Jennifer Pennings and Katie Lubbers. Interment took place at Burns Cemetery and a reception followed at the Londesborough Lions Hall. A very special "thank you" to Dr. Sumar and the staff at Mitchell Nursing Home for the excellent care and compassion shown to Mom and her family over the past few weeks. Also "thank you" to the staff and residents of Maplewood Retirement Centre in Seaforth for their care and kindness shown. May the winds blow softly ahead Sadly missed by a friend Obituaries Obituaries MALONEY, Leonard - Peacefully after a short illness at Clinton Public Hospital on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in his 80th year. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Laurene Maloney, Lorraine Feeney, Leon and Mary Maloney, Ken and Madelon Maloney, Jean Kelly and Eileen Pryce. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Nora (nee Murray) Maloney, two brothers, Martin and Clarence and brother-in-law Len Feeney. He will be lovingly missed, treasured and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Leonard attended elementary school at Beechwood, Dublin Continuation School and Stratford Normal School and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. He began his 42 year teaching career in St. Augustine in a one room school and eventually came to the London Middlesex Catholic School Board where he served as teacher, principal and special educator. Leonard was a well respected colleague and beloved teacher who enriched the lives of many. Visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Thursday, May 15th from 2-4 (with Parish Prayers led by Deacon Brian McDonald at 4 p.m.) and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian burial was held from St. James Catholic Church, Seaforth, on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. led by Fr. Chris Gillespie. The Pallbearers were Steve McGregor, Don Feeney, Chris Maloney, Ron Janmaat, Jim Pryce, Joseph Flanagan; and the Flower Bearers were Luanne and Mitchell McGregor. Interment took place at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery and a reception followed at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.
