Winthrop has enjoyed a variety of weather
Ruth Campbell
Winthrop correspondent
March is about half over and we have had a
variety of weather - a couple of spring like days
then some more snow and today (Friday)
March winds.
Sunday's service at Cavan United Church
was led by Dave Williams.
We are now in the Lenten season, leading to
Easter.
The children's story was titled "Sandals and
Gloves." Jesus wore sandals and possibly
gloves which was an invitation to help other
people. These two items were placed on a
wooden cross at the front of the church.
The choir sang "Worship the Lord! The mes-
sage was titled "Satan - When God is not
there The book of Genesis is not to be taken
literally, it is a story. It is believed several writ-
ers wrote the book of Genesis. Temptation is
the absence of God in our lives. Adam and Eve
succumbed to temptation - Jesus did not.
Beatrice Campbell has returned home after
a few days stay in hospital.
Vicki Campbell, Natalie and Alaina had a
short trip to Michigan recently where they
stayed overnight and did some shopping.
The knitting club met recently after a few
weeks off. Anyone interested in coming for
help or learning how to knit or crochet can
contact me at 519-527-0675 for more
information.

HOME PLAN OF THE WEEK
PLAN NUMBER 6-4-344
RELEASE DATE: MAR 1ST- MAR 7TH,2014
COUNTRY- STYLE OPEN LIVING
Country -style is shown at its best in this expansive family home designed
for open living. The highlight of the main floor is the huge great room,
distinguished by a 12 -foot sloping ceiling, gas fireplace with media shelves
and a wealth of windows to bathe the room in natural light.
The dining room is spacious enough for guests to join the family and enjoy
dinner with ease — and to step out to the patio overlooking the garden. The
kitchen is well designed to suit a house of this size and includes a pantry and
plenty of countertop and cupboard space.
A pass-through leads to the laundry room, which has its own small covered
porch and access to the house — a practical way to keep foot traffic away
from the living areas. Behind the laundry room is a three-piece bathroom with
a bath and a shower stall.
A staircase leads to an unfinished bonus room above the garage — a large,
rectangular room with a sloping ceiling which would make an ideal media
and games area. The master suite on the main floor is privately separate from
the family bedrooms upstairs. The en -suite bathroom includes a soaker tub,
shower stall and double vanity.
The upstairs hall overlooks the foyer below and serves to separate bedroom
Iwo and a four -piece bathroom from bedrooms three and four. All the upstairs
bedrooms gain character from attractive dormer windows. The veranda,
columns with stone accents and the dormers add to the considerable charm
of the exterior.
The house is 70 feet, 4 inches wide and 40 feet deep with 2,194 square feet
of living space.
Plans for design 6-4-344 are available for $755 (set of 5), $860(set of 8) and
$944 for a super set of 10. Also add $30.00 for Priority charges within B.C. or
$55.00 outside of B.C. Please add 7% P.S.T., 13% H.S.T. Or 5% G.S.T (where
applicable) to both the plan price and Priority charges.
