Born on February 2, 2014 at Stratford General Hospital, weighing 5lbs 10oz. Proud first time grandparents are Stewart Valiance, Kim Detweiler, Richard Elliott and John and Cheryl Bennewies. Great Grandparents are Carson and Peggy Scarlett, June Jacklin, Charles and Wanda Higenell and Doreen Bennewies. Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses who took such good care of us during our stay in the Stratford Maternity ward. Cards of Thanks Cards of Thanks ANDREWS The family of the late Alice Andrews would like to thank everyone for their kindness during the recent loss of our dear grandmother, mother, wife. We appreciate our friends and family who sent flowers, memorial donations, cards and food. Special thanks to Dr. Lal and all the nurses at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital for their dedicated and compassionate care. Thank you to Amanda Rich of the Falconer Funeral Home for her guidance and care in our hour of need. Our sincere appreciation to our minister Randy Covey for his many visits and compassion. I appre- ciated and truly enjoyed every visit, all the messages and phone calls, all of which helped to pass the time a little more quickly! Thank you to the health care workers at both Stratford Hospital and LHSC for the excellent care of both myself, and Reid. And lastly, thank you for all the cards and gifts, kind thoughts, and well wishes since we have been home. Reid is also very hap- py to be named the New Years baby and would like to say thank you to all the local businesses that donated such awesome prizes! To everyone who attended, thanks for helping us make great memories. - Tom, Mandy, Jacob and Jenny Duffy Obituaries Obituaries McGRATH, Barb - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Victoria Hospital in London. Barbara Ruth McGrath of Dublin, formerly of Toronto, was in her 62nd year. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Ruth McGrath, and by her brother Tom McGrath. Survived by her siblings, Cheryl McGrath of Dublin, Sandra Haynes (Paul) of Dublin, Donna Beuerman (Neil) of Egmondville and Ken McGrath (Waneeta) of Seaforth. Also survived by her nephews, Mike Beuerman (Jenn), Nick Haynes (Alexis), Tommy McGrath (MacKenzie), Timmy McGrath (Melissa); and great nieces and nephews, Anya, Wyatt, Jeremy and Shelby. Visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, March 7th from 7-9 p.m. Visitation continued on Saturday, March 8th from 10-11 a.m. which was followed by Barb's funeral service to celebrate her life. Fr. Chris Gillespie officiated and the Pallbearers were Ken McGrath, Timmy McGrath, Tommy McGrath, Nick Haynes, Paul Haynes and Mike Beuerman. A reception followed at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156 and spring interment will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Dublin. Thank you to Pastor Steve for his visits and prayers and to my family for their continued love and support. Evelyn Noreen Carter (nee Williamson) of Seaforth, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Carter (1992). Loving mother of Gloria Riley and her husband Ron of Harpurhey and Don Carter of Seaforth. Cherished Grandma of Glenda Blair and her husband Stephen of Stratford, Brian Riley and his wife Sherry! of Seaforth, Joanne Cameron and her friend James of Peterborough, Janice Richardson and her fiancee Kevin of Fergus, Brad Carter and his wife Leanne of Milton and Julie Snell and her friend Steve of Seaforth; Great -Grandma of Carly and Connor Blair, Katelyn, Melissa and Olivia Riley, Megan, Lauren and Ashlyn Carter, and Hailey and Alison Snell. Survived by sister Ina McGrath and sister-in-law Helen Williamson, both of Seaforth. Evelyn will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by siblings, Olive Clarke (Albert), Norman Williamson (Evelyn), Herbert Williamson, Olda Jervis (Russell), Florence Nesbett (George), Roy Williamson (Kathleen); and also by brothers-in-law Jack Carter (Florence), and Michael McGrath. Visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth 519-527-1390, on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of Evelyn's funeral service where her life was celebrated at 1 p.m. Pastor Stephen Hildebrand officiated and a reception followed at Northside United Church. Spring interment will take place at Maitland Bank Cemetery, Seaforth.
