session charges as a result of
a recent drug investigation.
Just before 10 a.m. on

aphernalia and cash. Additionally, a
prohibited weapon was seized.
The estimated combined street
value of the controlled sub-
stances was just over $19,000.
The Central Huron man has been
charged under the Controlled Drugs
and Substances Act with a number of
possession charges as well as pos-
session of a prohibited weapon.
He has since been released from cus-
tody will appear in court on July 7 at the
Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
Ford Taurus
stolen from Brussels
HURON EAST — Huron County OPP
officers are currently investigat-
ing the theft of a green 2002 Ford
Taurus four -door sedan, stolen from
Elizabeth Street in Brussels.
At approximately 5 a.m. on June
12, the vehicle owner looked out
his residence window and spot-
ted his vehicle parked on the street;
Less than a half hour later, when he
went to leave for his morning com-
mute the vehicle was gone.
The vehicle was left in an insecure con-
dition with the doors unlocked and
the ignition key inside the vehicle.
It has damage to the passenger side
rear corner panel and is equipped
with an after -market 9 ft. tall CB
antenna affixed to the trunk. .
Please keep in mind stolen vehicles
are often used to commit other seri-
ous crimes that often place members
of the public and police officers in dan-
gerous situations. Always lock your

Assault charges laid
after impaired
driving incident
GODERICH — Al 9 -year-old male is fac-
ing six criminal charges following an
incident police responded to June 10.
At approximately 11:20 p.m., Huron
County OPP responded to a call of
an intoxicated and upset male walk-
ing in the area of Cameron and Rag-
lan Streets damaging vehicles.
Police responded to the scene and found
a car with a smashed windshield.
Police were also informed by wit-
nesses the same male was also seen
driving vehicle with two flat tires.
Shortly thereafter, police observed
the driver of the suspect vehicle fail
to stop at a stop sign at the intersec-
tion of Blake Street and South Street.
They followed the vehicle and stopped
it at a private drive on South Street.
Upon stopping, the driver immediately
exited the car and attempted to push his
way past the officers to gain entry into a
residence. Officers determined the male
was impaired by alcohol and proceeded to
arrest the driver for impaired driving. The
male began to resist arrest and attempted
to break free, head -butting one of the offic-
ers. He was then taken into custody.
Both officers sustained minor injuries.
As a result, the driver from Goderich
was charged several offences includ-
ing impaired driving and resisting arrest.
He will appear in court on July 7 at the
Ontario Court of Justice, Goderich.
