Wingham - 3
The Screaming Eagles were
back at home taking on Wing -
ham Pharmasave on a clear
beautiful evening. The visitors
came out with gusto and ten
minutes in found themselves
up by a 2-0 score. Striker Nolan
Gagnier for the second game
in a row would prove his worth
by scoring a natural hattrick in
the first half to put the Eagles
up 3-2. Wingham would add
an equalizer just before half
time to even it at 3-3. Sea-
forth's balanced attack would
show through in the second
half when Nolan, Colton Bach-
ert, Jacob Flood, Cole Zwep
and Deric VandenHeuvel would
add single markers to give the
home side an 8-3 victory.

Blyth - 0
After an extended homestand
due to postponements due to
weather, the Eagles ventured to
Blyth. With nice weather again
the U14 girls were looking to
extend their winning streak. Just
seven minutes into the match
and Seaforth carrying the play,
Savannah Veenstra found her-
self in front of the Blyth net and
tucked a crossed ball into the
corner for a 1-0 lead. Seaforth
would add to that a little later in
the half when Jillian Nixon would
score to make it 2-0 heading into
halftime. Blyth came out with the
wind at their backs in the sec-
ond half and helped propel them
with two goals and tie it up at
2-2. Having allowed their first
goals of the season, Seaforth
found themselves with some
adversity but with seven minutes
remaining Jillian going wide right
tucked a lovely shot behind the
goalkeeper for a 3-2 lead and the
whistle would end the game giv-
ing the Eagles the victory and a
4-0 record to start the season.

Bayfield - 3
The girls started strong, domi-
nating much of the play, but
had difficulty netting the ball. It
was Jennifer Feeney who pock-
eted two goals late in the open-
ing half, on passes from Sarah
Devereaux and Nicole Feeney
sending the girls into the sec-
ond half up by one. The lead
increased by two early in the
second, as Sarah Devereaux
scored in her league debut on a
great pass from Brooklyn Finlay-
son. However, the girls couldn't
hold off Bayfield, and with
under six minutes left, Bayfield
launched an attack scoring two
and St. Columban had to settle
for a tie. Still undefeated, the girls
will face tough competition when
heading to Clinton next Thursday.

It was a windy and chilly night
when the U 16 St Columban
girls hosted Wingham on June
3. Kristin Looby opened the

Nolan. Wingham answered with
a quick goal but that would
be the only one they would
get past netminder Nicki Van-
Bakel. Mel Nolan scored the
next goal unassisted and Kris-
tin Looby scored 2 more, giv-
ing her the hat trick for the
night. Great defense by Mikay-
lee Klaver and Kaylie Monden
