Friday the 27' of 9une 2014 at Hessenfand Country
Inn (Municipality of B fuewater) with Pastor Stephen
Hildebrand officiating. The coupk was blessed with an
absolutely peect sunny day and an amazing cekbration
with close _Mends and family. Ashky is the daughter of
Bev and Gay Coman of Seafortfii, and Dana is the
son of Brad and Gnda Duff, (its° of Seaforth.
POLICE BRIEFS
Suzuki King Quad
ATV stolen
HOWICK — Huron County OPP
officers are currently inves-
tigating the recent theft of a
Suzuki King Quad ATV stolen
from a barn on Harriston Road.
Police believe the theft took
place sometime between 6
p.m. on July 20 and 6:30 a.m.
on July 21. Those responsible
appeared to have entered the
barn and managed to start up
and drive away on the ATV.
The stolen AD/ is described
as an olive green coloured,
2011 model, Suzuki King Quad,
4x4, 500 cc engine, with an
after -market windshield.
Thieves steal
antique cultivator
HOWICK — A recent theft from
an abandoned farm on Law-
rie Street has resulted in the
loss of around $1,000 in prop-
erty, as well as an antique
hand powered cultivator.
Police believe the theft
occurred sometime between
4 p.m. on July 18 and 8 a.m.
on July 19. In addition, those
responsible also damaged
an excavator when they
tried unsuccessfully to steal
the copper radiator from
the machine. It is believed
the thieves used an ATV to
transport the stolen goods.
Break and enter
in Clinton
CENTRAL HURON — Police
are currently investigating a
break, enter and theft which
took place at a vacant resi-
dence located on Princess
Street in Clinton, sometime
between July 510 19. Those
responsible forced entry
into the residence through
the front door where they
stole several items includ-
ing an Xbox 360 game sys-
tem, as well as a set of golf
clubs and numerous tools.
The value of the sto-
len goods is estimated
to be around $600.

Crossbows
and chainsaws
stolen from
unlocked shed
HURON EAST - Huron County
OPP officers are currently
investigating a break, enter
and theft of property from
a shed located on Main
Street South in Seaforth.
Police believe the items
were taken on June 20 when
those responsible entered
the unlocked shed and
stole the following items:
Two 50 cc Stihl chainsaw
3 -foot bar Stihl chainsaw
A camo coloured Excal-
ibur crossbow, with
scope, sling and quiver
A Horton crossbow, with
scope, sling and quiver
The stolen items are
estimated to be worth
approximately $1500.
Huron County OPP officers
wish to remind residents to,
"Lock it or Lose it." Every-
one can do their part in pre-
venting crime by locking their
residence, shed, garage, barn,
utility building, and vehicle
at all times. Property crimes
are largely crimes of oppor-
tunity. Remove the opportu-
nity and prevent the crime.

More than double
the speed limit
SOUTH HURON - A 22 -year-old
female driver was recently
charged with racing follow-
ing a traffic stop on Main
Street, in Dashwood, on July
17. According to police, a
vehicle was spotted trave-
ling eastbound on Main Street
at approximately 107 km/
hr in a posted 50 km/hr zone
shortly after 6:30 p.m. The
vehicle was stopped and the
driver from Mississauga was
charged with Race a Motor
Vehicle. Her licence was
been suspended for seven
days and her vehicle has also
been impounded. She has
a court appearance sched-
uled for Aug. 19 at Provincial
Offences Court — Goderich.
Open alcohol
charges result
in three-day
suspension
CENTRAL HURON — A 33 -year-
old male recently had his
driving privileges suspended
for three days following a
traffic stop on July 18.
Charges were laid upon
speaking with the occu-
pants of a vehicle pulled over
at a R.I.D.E checkpoint at
the intersection of Porter's
Hill Line and Union Road.
At approximately 8 p.m. an
officer observed open con-
tainers of alcohol inside
the vehicle and it was also
determined the driver had
consumed some alcohol.
A roadside screening test
was administered and the
driver registered a warning.
As a result, the driver from
Central Huron was served
with a three day driver's
license suspension and
charged with Driving With an
Open Container of Alcohol. In
addition, a 32 -year-old male
passenger was also charged.
