The first period was scoreless as play went back and forth. The Thunder scored a pair of goals in the first half of the second period Whitney South Huron Expositor The Seaforth Stars took on the Tiverton Thunder on Feb. 9 for the "A" finals. The Stars played a hard-fought game, but lost with a score of 3-1. 6 followed up by a short-handed goal a few minutes later to go U p on the Stars 3-0 after two periods. It wasn't until almost the final minute of the third period when the Stars finally got their only goal as the Thunder went on to win 3-1. The Thun- der's defensive play had stifled the Stars' high-powered offence. Whitney South Huron Expositor The Doug Perkes Memorial Tournament kicked off with the Seaforth Stars taking on the New Hamburg Huskies on Feb. 7. Retired NHL centre Boyd Devereaux, originally from Seaforth, was on hand for the opening ceremonies where Doug's son Craig dropped the puck to start the tournament. The students are now all settled into their new classes with their new teachers. The students also received their semester one report cards on Friday. This week has been a great start to semester two and we wish everyone good luck with the sec- ond half of the year. The sports teams have already been busy the first week back. The girls' and boys' hockey teams have both started playoffs and the swimming team has been busy practising for Scoreboard Mr% ul ,J,11111r171A. AL AIL Feb. 5 Men's high: Harry Pennings and Arnold Ramsey, four wins; Erich Matzold, three wins Ladies' high: Grace Corbet and Anne Auchterlonie, three wins WOSSAA. The boys' basketball teams and girls' volleyball teams have also been busy finishing up their regular season games. The elementary schools travelled to St. Anne's on Thursday to play in the Borden Ball tournament. It was great to see so many future Eagles out on the court having fun. Family Day Spaghetti Dinner is being held on Monday, Feb. 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Colum- bus Hall, Goderich, in support of St. Anne's Mission Trip to India. Join us for spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee and entertainment. Tickets should be purchased ahead of time. Family $30, Adults $12, Senior/Student $10 and Chil- dren $6. To receive, consider and approve the Financial Statement and Auditor's Report for the year ended December 31st, 2013. 2. To appoint auditors for 2014. 3. To elect two (2) Directors for a three-year term. 4. To consider and zf thought fit, to adopt, with such amendments as may be made at the Meeting, those amendments to the Company's By-law 1-95 passed by the Board of Directors on October 29 and December 17, 2013. A summary of the amendments follows.
