We certainly have had our share of snow. What does the shortest month of the year have in store for us? At Cavan Church on Sunday the guest speaker was David Burghardt. His father is Jack Burghardt, who used to be part of the CFPL-TV crew. Jim Rapson lit the Christ candle. For the children's story he used the example of a phone and a whistle of God calling to us to get our attention. The message was titled "An Unlikely Start." We think about consequences more as we grow older. In Bible times, working men - the fishermen, Peter, Andrew, James and John - chose to follow Jesus. What voice do we listen to? God gives us love and we turn it into religion. As a church we offer something, not ask it. A social time followed the service. Food for Thought For excellence, ask an expert; for wis- dom, ask a sage; for honesty ask a child.
