The first hymn sung at Cavan on Sunday was "A Mighty Fortress is our God' It was written by Mar- tin Luther many years ago. Mary's message was titled "Demons? Oh Dear." She posed different questions such as what thought is bothering me and what disappointment in life do I have." We should displace disappointment by new hope. Sorrow should be replaced by helping someone else in their sorrow. Anger should be dis- placed in a healthy way. The family of Beatrice Campbell recently held their get-together at the Winthrop ballpark. The weather was great and only a few members were absent. A surprise birthday party was held for Sandra Morey at Brent Ribey's in Seaforth. Her birthday isn't until November so she cer- tainly wasn't expecting it. This year is a special milestone for her. A good crowd was in attendance. Food for Thought Give someone a compli- ment today; tomorrow may be too late.
