Seaforth squirts St. Columban Soccer
take top prize
U18 Girls
On Aug. 9, the Seaforth Squirt Wolver-
ines Baseball Team became the "A" Cham-
pions of the Tri -County Softball Association
2014 toumament, held in Goderich.
The team went into the tournament in
first place, after going undefeated in regular
season play. During the tournament they
faced and defeated Ethel (14-2), Lucknow
(10-2) and Benmiller (12-3) after receiving a
bye to the A Pool of the tournament
In the "A' final game, they faced Ben -
miller a second time, and were given a
real run for their money, but came
away with a 5-1 victory.

The U18 Girls played their final league game
against South Huron Thursday, Aug. 7. It was
a seesaw battle as the teams were closely
matched. It was no surprise when the game
ended in a tie.

The girls played their first game in the year-end
season tournament on Aug 11 with a flying start.
The scoring charge was led by Mel Nolan with
three, including a penalty shot.
