Agriculture and water festival
Whitney South
The Huron Expositor
Hundreds of students from all
over Huron and Perth Counties
were treated to a hands-on look
at food production and water
conservation at the annual Agri-
culture and Water Festival held
over two days last week in
Seaforth.
Divided between the Agriplex
and arena, kids were given a
chance to witness and take part
in several demonstations
throughout the day.
Getting the chance to cuddle a
lamb, learn how cows are milked
and how to properly hold a baby
chick were just some of the high-
lights on the agricultural side,
while the water side taught some
important lessons about main-
taining the ecosystem and what
happens to the watershed when
materials are dumped down the
drain.
