the departure of Rev. and Mrs. Craw
to their new charge in Dorcheater,
several presentations have been made

Bowling Club presented Mr. Craw
with a silver rose basket and candle-
sticks and from:the choir to Mr. and
Mrs. Craw s silver water pitcher.
Mrs. Craw was an active and en-

expressing appreciation fin- her un-
tiring efforts the ,following remem-
brances were presented to her: from
the Unity Class, a necklace; from
•the W.M.S. a floor lamp and from
the Sunday school, the Y,P.S. and the

He expessed thanks to the leaders -
in the various organizations for their
efforts, special mention being made
of the choir leader anti organfst and
spoke highly of the splendid Organi-
zation in the various departments of
the church. •
The fellowship which Mr, Craw bad
-formed with the. men of the town,
especially on the bowling green, he
•ereatly appreciated, commending this
pastime as one of the finest in the
village activities. '
His closing words were repeated
thanks to the congregation for their
many kindnesses shown to lie and
Mrs. Craw, and especially during the
time of his serious illness. They had
grown to know and love those with
whom they were, brought in eloiest

Th's week we are in receipt of a

the village seine. fifty years ago, Mr.
Murdoch MacLean. While in Lucknow
Mr. MaiLean' worked at the wagon

ly crowded out by ,the encroachment
of big business, and modern machin-
ery. He then decided "to go West and .
grow up with 'the country" and adds
• that "this country certainly • has
grown from a waste territory -the •
home of the ,Indian and buffalo, to
develop into la 'Country of agricul-
ture an-induetry. Perseverance,
frugality, and industry have been
important factors in the' growth of
the West and particularly in the pre- '
sent depressed conditions, and with
three successive crop 'failures, -the
aPplication. of, these principles
necessary.
Mr. MacLean successfully owns
and operates a hardware store in
Moose Jaw.
