Kinloss Man Assessed
Sam. Stanley was charged with
having .liquor illegally, as a result. of
a visit to' his home, after: Albert

to the charge and when evidence

easily on a charge of having liquor
in, his possession illegally and was
assessed --$100 and costs of $7.40 or
in default of payment ' three months
in jail.
These charges • arose as a , result: of
"treating"- which occurred at a wed-;
ding - reception.. at Blackhorse on the.
night -of September 30th. Constable
McClevis and County Constable Ari
chie Ferguson overheard, while seat-
ed in their car near the dance hell,
a conversation which led to catchiiiir
Albert Stanley with the goods. Fol
lowing the conversation a car with
its occupants drove away from . the
hall and immediately. •uponits return
-the passengers were confronted by
the •police officers. Albert Stanley
was seated behind the wheel with a`
bottle of beer in• his possession.. Two
empty ;bottles were in • the car, the
contents -of which had appeased the
thirst 'of his two coinpanio is, the'
groom and his cousin: 'Accoinpaiiie
by the officers Albert went to Sant''s
house which was the source .of sup-
uly. Albert .had taken an Order on
Sam's permit and purchased tv-c
cases of beer, of which he was sett-
ing a liberal share and •"giving" some.

Sam was in bed when the officers
arrived and upon asked about the
