GORDON, Pam - Passed away
peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital
on Friday, October 25, 2013. Pamela Joan
(nee Patrick) Gordon of Bayfield, formerly
of Seaforth, at the age of 60. Loving wife of
Barry Gordon for 37 years. Cherished
mother of Christina Gordon (Scott Snell) of
Toronto, Amy Kissler (Alex) of London and
Ian Gordon (Melissa McClement) of
Bayfield. Adored Grammie of Sullivan, Kyla
and Briar. Also survived by her brother Paul
Patrick (Anne) of Charlotte, NC, sister-in-
law Vicki Gordon of Windsor, and nieces
Meredith Rassam (Paul), Gillian Patrick and
Brenna Mastropaolo (Mike). Predeceased
by her parents John and Joan Patrick, and
in-laws Ross and Marion Gordon. Pam was
a proud and competent case manager with
the Huron -Perth CCAC for in excess of 25
years. Visitation was held at McGLYNN
FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth,
519-527-1390, on Sunday, October 27th
from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, October 28th
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to
celebrate Pam's life was held at
Egmondville United Church on Tuesday,
October 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. Pastor
Stephen Hildebrand officiated. The
Pallbearers were Tom Burke, Gary
McGillivray, John Graham, Lorne Taylor,
Rob Patrick, Walt Hilmeyer, and the Flower
Bearers were Sherri Garton, Deb Taylor
and Karen Searle. Interment took place at
Egmondville Cemetery and a reception
followed at the Bluewater Golf and Country
Club in Bayfield. Memorial donations to
Princess Margaret Hospital Multiple
Myeloma Research or the Seaforth
Community Hospital can still be made

LEPPINGTON, John "Jack" - in his
86th year, passed away peacefully on
Monday, October 28th, 2013 at his home in
Clinton. He was the cherished and loved
companion of Naida McClinchey. Jack will
be lovingly remembered by his children
John (Ev), Walter (Rita), Joyce Hummel
(Andrew), Robert (Lynn) and Cathy Zekai
(John). Also loved by eighteen
grandchildren, Jon (Kerry), Bobbi (Matt),
Bill, Mark, Brittany, Aaron (Katie), Adam
(Robyn), Sara, Amy, Stacey, Jeremy, Alicia
(Mike), Matt, (Holly), Josh (Tonya), Kris
(Jacquee), Danny (Sarah), Nick, Ben and
seventeen great-grandchildren. Also
remembered by Naida's family. He is
survived by one sister-in-law, Anne "Toos"
Turton and many nieces and nephews. He
was predeceased by his first love, Evelyn
(nee Turton), the mother of his children, his
eldest son, Tom and his second wife Mary
(Rathwell). Jack was born on April 21, 1928
to the late Tom and Luella Leppington, the
youngest of 5 siblings all deceased. Jack
worked for the Ontario Hydro until his
retirement in 1986. His lifelong love of
hunting and fishing is shared by some of his
sons, grandsons and a nephew. He had a
passion for the outdoors and spent many
hours of his retirement manicuring his lawn
and watering the flowers! It is Jack's wishes
that there be no visitation or funeral.
Cremation has taken place. Donations can
be made to the Clinton Public Hospital
Foundation or the Children's Relief Fund
(Christmas Bureau) c/o the Children's Aid
Society. Condolences can be left at

McFARLANE, Elizabeth "Jane" -
On Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Clinton
Public Hospital Elizabeth "Jane" McFarlane
of Clinton in her 72nd year, after a
courageous battle with cancer. Beloved
mother of Michelle & George DeVlugt and
Melisa McFarlane. Cherished grandmother
of Stefanie, Amelia, Isabel and John. Dear
sister of Ruth Selves and Nancy Turner.
She will be fondly remembered by her
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her
parents John & Pearl McFarlane and her
sister Marie McFarlane. Jane, like her
mother before her, was a hard working
nurse with a passion for caring for people.
A funeral service will be held at the
FALCONER FUNERAL HOMES, Clinton
Chapel 153 High St. Clinton on Monday,
November 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with
visitation one hour before service time. Mr.
George DeVlugt officiating. Interment
Baird's Cemetery. Donations to Baird's
Cemetery would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.

Fifty competitors turned up for the Ontario Doubles
Crokinole Championship Saturday, Nov. 2 in Varna.
Competitors came from across Ontario, and even
from the United States for the tournament. Results
are in the Varna News on page 16.

traveling competitors at the Ontario
Doubles Crokinole tournament in
Brucefield this past weekend.
