Madill, both the junior and senior teams took heavy losses, 17-42 and 20-42 respectively. Against St. Marys, the junior boys lost 21-54 against, while the senior Phoenix team took a 35-18 win. The junior boys learned how costly turnovers can be in their two losses on Wednesday. Periods of great defense and patient offense were compromised by lazy ball handling from time to time and the visiting teams were quick to take advantage of the mistakes. However, the Phoenix are playing more organized and smart basketball with every game. Mike Watterworth led the scoring on the day because of his aggressive dribbling and strong rebounding. Brad Watson and Brandon Morton -Hamilton carried the ball up the floor well. Owen Otterbein and Myles Krahn were strong under the basket. League play continued Monday, December 16 against SHDHS in Exeter.
