I y{ r c ra Camiurwode ta.311i ONTARIO JUNIOR CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS MOPP\EV"JS 3RIE ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the over- night theft of two chainsaws stolen from the back of an insecure pickup truck that was parked on Nile Road. The chainsaws were stolen sometime overnight on September 7, 2014. The chainsaws are both orange and white Stihl brand, two stroke gas powered engines. One is a model MS441 valued at $1200 and the other is a model 0-34 valued at $1,000. Any person with information regarding this incident should immediately contact Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 524-8314. BLUEWATER - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the recent theft of a utility trailer stolen from a private driveway located on Bay- field Terrace in Bayfield. The owner re- ported his black, 1972 model utility trailer was stolen sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on September 8, 2014. The trailer is approximately 4 feet by 6 feet in size. BLUEWATER — Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are in- vestigating an early morning break and enter that took place on September 3, 2014. At approximately 3:30 a.m. two male suspects attended the Michael's Pharma - save located on Bayfield Main Street and forced entry into the building. Entry was gained into the store by causing extensive damage to the front doors. The two male suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. It is unknown at this time what has been taken. The suspects are described as: A male with a tall, slim build. He was wearing a baseball cap, a black sweater with long sleeves, knee length shorts, with white and grey shoes. The second male is described as being tall, with a slim build. He was wearing dark coloured pants with a red stripe on the side and a dark coloured long sleeve shirt. He was also wearing a baseball cap. Any person with information regarding this incident should immediately contact Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 524-8314. BLUEWATER — A 42 year old female driver is facing a charge of Drive While Under Suspension following a traffic stop on September 5, 2014. Shortly after 8:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was alerted to a pos- sible suspended driver as he was monitor- ing the traffic flow on London Road near Hurondale Road. The cruiser, equipped with an Auto- matic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) computer device sounded an alert after the licence plate of a southbound Chev- rolet was captured by the onboard ALPR camera. The ALPR system identified the attached licence plate as being registered to a suspended driver. A traffic stop was initiated and it was confirmed the driver held a suspended driver's licence. As a result, a 42 year old female from North Huron was charged with Drive While Under Suspension. She will have to attend Provincial Offences Court in Goderich on October 7, 2014 to answer to the charge. HURON COUNTY — The Ontario Pro- vincial Police (OPP) Underwater Search & Recovery Unit (USRU) has located the body of male swimmer that went missing on August 31. The male did not return to shore after he went into the water to res- cue his seven year old son that was strug- gling with a powerful undertow located at the mouth of the Nine Mile River and Lake Huron. On September 1 at 1:45 p.m. members from the OPP Underwater Search & Re- covery Unit (USRU) located the male in Lake Huron approximately 150 meters from the shoreline. The deceased has been identified as To- masz GLADKOWSKI, 39 years of age from Mississauga.
