companies. As the com-
pany states, "successful
cropping depends on grow-
ers selecting the right
genetics for their farm."
Varna Grain Ltd. is a
grain elevator company
that receives farmer pro-
duced crops, such as,
corn, soybeans and wheat.
The company receives,
dries and stores crops and
then sells them to feed
mills, flour mills, ethanol
plants, soybean crushers,
IP export markets and
livestock producers. It
also purchases and re-
sells grains that producers
have stored on their farm.
The company has two
facilities. One is located to
the east of Varna and the
other is west of Varna.
Together Hill & Hill
Farms and Varna Grain
also offer several soybean
programs. As the compa-
nies state, "producers are
showing steady interest in
contracted soybean pro-
duction due to an increase
in premium values, better
agronomics and market-
ing pressure."
Bev Hill, along with his
wife, Shirley, and their
sons, Jim and Paul, are the
owners of both compa-
nies. They welcome local
farmers and other inter-
ested people to contact
the companies for more
detailed information
regarding their full range
of services as well as their
soybean programs. As Hill
states, we are "committed
to offering our customers
the full package."
