Card Party was held Thursday Octo-
ber 9th at the Odd Fellows Hall in
Brucefield. Mens High was Janet
Webster playing as a man and low
man was Fred McGregor, High lady
was Barb Oesch and low lady was
Marilyn Aiken. the most lone hands
went to Grace Hodgins and the draws
were won by Donna Collins and Dor-
othy Mcgregor. The next card party
will be Thursday Oct 23 and Oct 30 to
start at 7:30pm. Everyone welcome!
Tyler Colclough lit the Christ Can-
dle at Church on Oct. 12th and Sha-
ron Chuter read the Scripture read-
ing and the Minutes for Missions.
Worship Leader Colin Snyder's Mes-
sage was on "Dressing for Dinner':
Communion was celebrated. The
choir treated all to an Anthem "A
Celebration of Thanks" Happy
Birthdays were extended to Edith
Swan, Evelyn McKinley, Brenda
Chuter and Arnold Keys. Also Happy
Anniversary Wishes were extended
to Nora and Arnold Keys on the
occasion of their 65th!
I have a correction to make the
Stain glass windows rededicated to
Brucefield Community United
Church last Sunday Oct. 5th were
from the Goshen Church not the
Kippen Church. Sorry for any incon-
venience this has made.
Upcoming Meetings are Worship
Committee Meeting Oct. 28th at
7pm. U.C.W. Meeting November 4th
at 7:30pm.
There will be a Han and Turkey Din-
ner Sunday Nov 9th from 4:30-6:30pm.
Tickets are $15 for adults and children
6-12 would be $6 and children under 6
are free and to order tickets call

An All Saints Memorial Service will
be Saturday Nov. 1st at 7pm at the
Brucefield Community United
Church. Everyone is welcome to
attend to honour members of our
faith community who have passed
away during the past year. Anyone
wishing to share a reading or prayer
as part of the Service can contact
Colin Snyder.
Crokinole got under way last
Tuesday Oct. 14th. Members drew
cards for partners. In first place
were new member Cor Vanderhoven
and Sam Bradica with 42points, sec-
ond was David Whyte playing solo
with 36pts, third was Cheryl Trew-
artha and Jack McLachlan with
34pts, tied in fourth place with 33pts
were Ralph Stephenso and Joan Bei-
erling and Alec Ostrom and Doug
Mills. The Club will meet again Oct.
28th at 7:30 pm.
Congrats to Don and Deb Rathwell
on the birth of their new grandson
also great grand parents Ralph and
Mona Stephenson.
Clinton lawn bowling
ends, shuffleboard begins
The year has finally come to an end at
the Clinton Lawn Bowling Club with a
pot luck supper this past Thursday.
Due to the recent inclement weather,
there were no games played as the
grounds were too wet. A special thank
you to all of our sponsors for making
this yet another successful and fun year.
That means Shuffleboard will now
begin Thursday, October 16, 1:00 p.m.
at the Clinton United Church, and
every Thursday thereafter. Again, no
experience necessary, just come for
lots of fun. Everyone welcome. For
