now as a council member
I fully intend to educate
myself on all available litera-
ture pertaining to the subject
so I can make informed
decisions that will best suit
the needs of the residents of
Central Huron.
Education/work
experience:
I have been employed
since 2008 as a Paramedic
with the County of Huron. In
2013 I obtained a new role as
an Alternate Rate Supervisor.
I also do part time Para-
medic work for the County of
Lambton. I attended the par-
amedic program at Lambton
College and have been con-
tinuing my education build-
ing towards my degree spe-
cializing in Labour Relations
through the University of
Athabasca. I have also been
a member of the Central
Huron Fire Department
since 2011.
Personal:
I am 31 years old. I live in
the town of Clinton with my
wife Tricia Renner, and our
exchange student from
Spain, Carlos. He is attend-
ing Central Huron Second-
ary School for the 2014/15
school year. This is our sec-
ond experience in the pro-
gram having hosted another
student from Brazil for the
first semester of 2013. Tricia
is the owner of The Backyard
Flower Shop, in Clinton,
which is where I spend most
of my days off helping out
and making flower deliver-
ies. My favourite hobbies
include playing hockey,
baseball and the occasional
game of golf as well as being
an avid reader.
Contact information:
My phone number is 519-
441-0009. I can also be
reached through Facebook
on the "Elect Adam Robin-
son- Municipality of Central
Huron Councillor" where
you can stay up to date with
info regarding the upcoming
election.
Other:
I truly look forward to the
opportunity of representing
the Central Huron East
Ward. I have the energy and
eagerness to immerse myself
in the everyday practices of a
councillor and fully plan to
be approachable and availa-
ble to address all concerns.
I would also like to take the
opportunity to wish all other
candidates the best of luck.

Why are you running?
In my capacity as Chair-
man of Clinton Raceway, I
have worked closely with
Council over the past 14
years to implement initia-
tives which have been of
benefit to both the Raceway
and our communities. This
has led to my involvement in
many projects that have
gone beyond the scope of
just the Raceway such as the
Municipality's Strategic
Planning sessions and the
Fundraising Committee for
the Central Huron Commu-
nity Complex, among others.
Throughout these experi-
ences I have admired the
commitment of our current
and past Councillors to find-
ing solutions to the chal-
lenges which face Central
Huron. I would like to
become more involved in
this process and feel I have a
lot to offer our communities.
Top 3 issues:
1. How do we continue to
provide excellent health
care, education and the
amenities which will serve
and attract young families to
our communities?
2. How can we promote
and encourage business in
our communities?
3. How do we retain our
rural identity, particularly
when more and more deci-
sions are made for us by
higher levels of government
who either fail to understand
or seem not care about our
rural lifestyle?
Education and/or work
experience:
I have been employed as a
School Secretary with the
Avon Maitland District
School Board for 24 years. I
have served as Chairman of
Clinton Raceway for the past
14 years, during which time
we have brought about
improvements to the barns
and racetrack as well as the
successful implementation
of the Clinton Slots at Race-
way program which provides
year-round employment for

ipal, Provincial and Federal
levels of government.

ing stable from Clinton
Raceway for 24 years. We

Why are you running?
I am running because I've
enjoyed my 4 years on Coun-
cil and I feel like I have a lot
more to offer.
Top 3 issues:
1. Taxation and municipal
spending are issues that I hear
a lot about. Bringing in a
responsible budget is a critical
yearly challenge as it affects all
other decisions. While doing
this, we need to be aware of
infrastructure repairs or
replacements that will be
required in the foreseeable

future. As well, we have two
solar power projects that are
going to give us significant
added revenue - debt reduc-
tion, tax stabilization, infra-
structure needs and eco-
nomic development are just
some of the ideas for this new
revenue.
2. We need to continue to
move the REACH Centre for-
ward by offering more pro-
grams and activities while
strengthening its financial
viability.
3. The impact of Industrial
Wind Turbines and how we
will deal with this issue if/or
when they come to this
municipality.
Education and/or work
experience:
I attended Central Huron
Secondary School, after which I
went to the University of
Guelph and graduated with a
BSc in Agriculture, majoring in
Animal Science with a minor in
Agri -Business. Since then, my
wife Gloria and I have operated
several large broiler and cash
crop farms located North of
Clinton. As well, I have been
involved with various organiza-
tions over the years. I served as
a District Committee Repre-
sentative for 20 years for the
Chicken Farmers of Ontario
(most of that time as local
Chairman). I have also served
as a Steward for the Londes-
boro United Church (part of
that time as Chair). As well, I
joined the Board of Directors at
the REACH Centre in Clinton 5
years ago.
Personal:
My wife Gloria and I live in
Hullett Township with our two
sons, Adam (18) and Tyler (15).
Adam is currently attending the
University of Guelph enrolled
in a Bachelor of Commerce
degree program. Tyler is in
grade 10 at Central Huron Sec-
ondary School. In my spare
time I enjoy reading, swim-
ming and playing golf.
