I am running because I
would like to keep going
what myself and other mem-
bers of council have already
accomplished in this term.
Top 3 issues:
1. Taxes
2. Green energy act espe-
cially as it relates to people
in rural communities
3. Water and utility rates

Why are you running?
Why not? If you pay atten-
tion, life lets you accumulate
some knowledge and wis-
dom. I'm running not
because there's something
terribly wrong with council
(there isn't) but because I
have something to contrib-
ute to the municipality.
Top 3 issues:
1. Wind turbines - I need
to learn more about them;
for right now I'd be inclined
to stay away from commit-
ting to any development
deals.
2. OPP and Hullett - The
recent Hullett Wildlife Area
incident was needlessly dra-
matic, as far as Sunday and
Monday went. The Saturday
night security update came
from Mayor Ginn. Much
appreciated, but it should
have come from the OPP.
I'm sure there was a way we
could have got a calming
update without compromis-
ing the murder
investigation.
3. Fire protection costs -
Covering the north with the
municipality of North Huron

"
is an ongoing debate. It's all
part of spending ratepayer's
money carefully and wisely,
as well as any provincial or
federal money.
Education and/or work
experience:
- Completed 2 years of a 3
year Communication Arts
program at Mohawk
College.
- Had a thirty-one year
career as a Sales Representa-
tive/General Manager at the
Clinton News -Record,
working with three marve-
lous Editors, Jim Fitzgerald,
Shelley McPhee and T. David
Emslie. Then three years at
Huron County Focus News-
magazine, two years in Lon-
don at telephone books, and
a memorable year and a half
as a church family portrait
photographer at LifeTouch.

ter access to the big cities.

mental impact that poverty
has on people.

I have gained a lot of expe-
rience from family and
friends and would carry any-
one's issue - big or small.

Why are you running?
I have long been inter-
ested in local politics and the
decision making process
within a municipality and
being involved in the com-
munity I live in. As a young
resident of Central Huron I
would enjoy the chance to
help shape the direction in
which our municipality will
take moving into the future!
I am fortunate enough to
have flexibility in my life
which will allow me to dedi-
cate myself to the position
Top 3 issues:
1. Youth retention - we
need to continue coming up
with innovative ways to
retain the talented youth
that come from Central
Huron to have them settle
here and call Central Huron
home.
2. Fiscal responsibility -
council has a responsibility
to spend our tax dollars
properly. As a member of
this community it is impor-
tant to me that my tax dollars
are spent intelligently and
the bottom line is a priority.
3. Wind turbines - this
issue seems very prominent
in our area. Although I do
not feel educated enough to
weigh in on the situation
