I love them all and, more importantly, I like them all and am proud of each one. - Definitely my greatest personal achievement (other than my five children) was the editing and publishing of the two Goderich Township Families books (1985 and 2010). - I was a Founding Direc- tor for the local Community Futures organization, HBDC. I served on the exec- utive committees for Goder- ich Township's Centennial Committee (1967), Sesqui- centennial committee (1985) and the 175th celebrations (2010). - I am currently the Treas- urer for the Blyth Festival; Vice -Chair of the Business Development Corporation; Board member on the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation and the John Hindmarsh Trust Fund; Vice -Chair of the Goderich PROBUS organization. - My involvement with genealogy included two years as President of the pro- vincial organization, OGS. As Cemetery Coordinator for the Huron Branch OGS, I oversaw the recording of monument information for over 120 cemeteries in Huron County. - I have been active in both St. Paul's Anglican Church and later the Holm- esville United Church, serv- ing as Treasurer, Board member and Superinten- dent of the Sunday Schools. The right to vote and chose gov- ernment and get elected was hard earned and cost a lot of lives. Yet we have record low voter turnouts, positions are filled by acclamation and not election. Getting the public and youth involved and interested should be a top priority. In my eyes every citizen has a duty to actively participate in society and not just tag along for the ride. It will take a lot of hon- est effort to change this. Patrick Nagle Why are you running?
