Sam Bradica and Cor Vanderhoven were first with 41pts, Steve Lefaive and Cheryl Trewartha were 2nd with 38pts, in third were Murray Perdue and Ken Pollock with 33pts, Eric Wheeler and Bill Stephenson were 4th with 27pts and in fifth were Jack Mclachlan and Joe Laurie with 26pts. The Club will meet Tuesday Nov 18th. Sunday Nov 9th Remembrance Day Sunday Jack and Geraldine Eckel were the greeters and Colin Snyder the Wor- ship Leader. The Choir favoured every- one with an Anthem "Eternal Father, Strong to Save': Colin's Message was "Prepared to Live': Following the Ser- vice congregation traveled to Varna for a short Service at the Cenotaph. Brenda Consitt laid the Province of Canada Wreath, Bill Dowson laid the Munici- pality of Bluewater Wreath, Bob Web- ster laid the LOL Wreath, Gordon Hill laid the Wreath for our country Canada. There will be a Stewardship Meeting Nov. 18th at 7:30pm. The Brucefield Community United Church Council will meet Dec. 3 at 7:30pm. The fall sup- per was a success and thanks to all whom helped by working, preparing and donating. The U.C.W, Christmas Dinner will be Tuesday Dec. 2 at 6pm at the Brucefield Community United Church. He will be greatly missed by many. The Brucefield Odd Fellows held their card party on Thursday Nov. 13th. High lady was Donna Collins and High man was Ethel Walker play- ing as a man, Low lady was Grace Hodgins, low man was Janet Websster playing as a man, most lone hands went to Nancy Turner and the draws were won by George Cantelon and Ethel Walket. OPP NEWS BRIEFS CENTRAL HURON - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating the theft and subsequent arson of a pickup truck sto- len from a Princess Street East resi- dence in Clinton. On November 9, 2014 Huron OPP officers were contacted by the pickup truck owner. A neighbor of the victim reported she observed a sus- pect leave in the pickup truck on November 8, 2014 between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. The suspect was described as a male wearing a bright orange hunting jacket. Two days after the theft, the grey 1996 Toyota Tacoma was found on a trail close to Conservation Line at the Hul- lett Wildlife Conservation Area. The pickup truck had sustained extensive fire damage. Any person with information regard- ing this incident should immediately contact Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 524-8314. CENTRAL HURON - A male driver from Goderich is facing a one week driver's licence suspension and a vehi- cle impoundment for seven days fol- lowing a traffic stop early this morning. At approximately 3:15 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Toyota Corolla speeding on Huron Road near Ponds - view Road east of Goderich. The officer confirmed his observations with a RADAR device and measured the speed of the vehicle at a speed of 131 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A traffic stop was completed and the driver was subsequently charged. A 53 year old male from Goderich has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. His driver's licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for the week. He has a court appearance scheduled for Janu- ary 6, 2015 at Provincial Offences Court - Goderich. clintonnewsrecord.com
