RATHWELL, Edgar - Passed away peacefully at Huronview
Home for the Aged on Thursday, November 13, 2014. Edgar
Rathwell of Clinton, formerly of RR#2 Bayfield, was in his 101st
year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Rathwell (March 1, 2012).
Loving father of Marilyn Bruinsma (Fred) of Goderich, Elaine
Sturgeon (Binnie) of Bayfield, Lynda Smith (Bob) of Goderich,
Steven Rathwell (Sally) of Petrolia and Mark Rathwell (Crystal) of
Kitchener. Cherished Grandpa of Lori Bagot (Brad), Cindy Bain
(Doug), Jeff Sturgeon, Roland Sturgeon (Joanne), Tina Bos (John),
Tara Vanderloo (Dave), Adam Rathwell (Natalie), Michael Rathwell
(Sari), Tyler Rathwell, Chad Rathwell, Wade Rathwell (Krista); and
Great -Grandpa of Gary and Chelsey Bagot, Aidan, Nicole and
Brendan Bain, Andrew, Erica, Kendra, Lauren, Amanda and
Cassandra Bos, Trystan and Braxton Vanderloo, Arielle Sturgeon,
Everett and Dallas Rathwell, Lena Rathwell and Caleb Rathwell.
Dear brother of Arnold Rathwell and brother-in-law of Willa
Rathwell. Edgar will also be fondly remembered by his many
nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Ben and
Mary Ann (nee Ackersviler) Rathwell; siblings and siblings -in-law
Muriel Grigg (John), Dorothy Ostrom (John), Gordon Rathwell
(Helen), Darcy Rathwell (Madeleine), Eleanor McAsh (Bill), Bob
Rathwell (Mary), Verna Rathwell, Marjorie Stirling (Bob), Tom
Rathwell, Harold and Donna Tyndall; and one great-grandson,
Bradley Henk Bos (stillborn in 2002). Edgar Purchased L67/C
Bayfield Line in 1938 and he and Helen were married May 10,
1941. They farmed and raised their family there until 1971 when
they retired from farm life and moved to Goderich. His passion was
his farming and family. He was a member of the Rural Telephone
Board when it was sold to Bell Canada and was a director of the
Ontario Milk Producers Board for the Carnation Plant at
Holmesville. In 1959 and early 1960's he was President of the
newly formed Holmesville Local 219 of the Ontario Farmers Union.
He later became director and worked to obtain $4 per cwt for whole
milk and the foundation of one general farm organization. In 1979,
he and Helen moved to Vanastra where he and his son Steven built
and operated Central Machining. When Edgar retired in 1983,
Steven continued on Rathwell Metal Craft (1989). After 1996 Edgar
and Helen lived on Shipley Street in Clinton before making
Huronview their home in 2006. Edgar enjoyed reading and was
always ready for a good conversation, reminiscing with friends and
neighbors about `the old days: He will be remembered as a great
mentor to his family and sadly missed by all. Cremation has taken
place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

PRESZCATOR, Jim - Sitting in his
favourite chair with the remote in his hand,
James Ross Preszcator of RR#1 Varna
passed away peacefully, surrounded by
love on Thursday, November 13, 2014, in
his 68th year. Beloved husband of Janice
(nee Jewitt) for 49 years. Loving father of
Bill and his wife Kim of Kippen, Deb Cooper
and her husband Dave of RR#1 Varna and
Michael and his wife Melanie of Mitchell.
Cherished Grandpa of Colton, Quaid and
Colby Preszcator, Kirsten and Luke
Cooper, and Cooper, Jake and Carter
Preszcator. Dear son of Ken and Velma
Preszcator of Seaforth. Loved brother of
David and Rose of Stratford, Linda and
Larry Dillon of Goderich, Diane and Gary
Leonard of Sarnia and Nancy and Doug
Anstett of Seaforth. Jim was a great
brother-in-law to the Jewitt family and he
will also be missed by his aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by his brother Johnny.
Cremation has taken place and a
celebration of Jim's life was held at the
Stanley Community Centre in Varna on
Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. with
Pastor Stephen Hildebrand officiating. A
reception immediately followed the service
and interment will take place at Exeter
Public Cemetery at a later date. Memorial
donations to the Seaforth Community
Hospital would be appreciated and can still

London Health Sciences Centre -University
Campus, on Tuesday, November 11, 2014
Mr. Charles Beverley Reid of RR#1 Varna
in his 85th year. Beloved husband for 62
years of Bernice (Blake) Reid. Loving father
and father-in-law of Charlene Schnarr of
London and Joanne Reid of RR#1 Varna.
Cherished grandfather of Meggin & Brian
Van Hoof of Strathroy, Genelle Reid of
Varna, Blake Reid of Varna and Shania
Schnarr of London. Great grandfather of
Parker and Ashley Van Hoof. Brother-in-law
of Leone Blake of Holmesville. Also missed
by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his son Doug Reid (2011),
brothers Bill & Mary Reid, Bob & Marg Reid
and brother-in-law Gerald Blake. Friends

assistance which allowed Mom to remain in
