Steinson, a Huron County business owner for the past 15 years, has just opened a new company, Bayshore Financial Man- agement. The new business is located in the plaza on Main Street South (High- way 21) in Bayfield and offers a variety of financial services. In particular, it specializes in mutual funds for registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs), reg- istered retirement income funds (RRIFs), educational savings plans (RESPs) and tax-free savings accounts (TFSAs). In addition to life insurance, Steinson offers disability insurance, critical illness insurance, employee benefit programs and cus- tomized retirement finan- cial planning. Steinson said what makes his business differ- ent from other financial institutions, such as the major banks, is the vast assortment of products that it offers. According to Steinson, while most of the major banks are lim- ited to offering only their own line of mutual funds, Bayshore Financial Man- agement can offer its cli- ents access to almost all the `5 -Star' funds as rated by the industry respected agency Morningstar. "I can look at all of the funds and choose ones that have consistently outper- formed over the long term, have stable management teams and have lower vola- tility," stated Steinson. "In other words, I can cherry pick which ones I want for the clients" he said. The company has also teamed up with Interglobe Financial Services Corp, a firm based out of Windsor, to provide client support and administrative efficiency for the mutual funds. Steinson began his career in finance as an assistant manager at Scoti- abank in Kitchener. When Scotiabank bought out National Trust in 1999, he was then transferred to Goderich to be part of the merge team that oversaw the transition between the two branches. Shortly after the merge was completed, he became partners with a small business owner in AlzheimerSociety H.R.„ COUNTY FREE EDUCATION EVENT Finding Your Way: What Happens When a Person with Dementia Goes Missing 8:30 am - 1:30 pm Tuesday, November 18 Betty Cardno Memorial Centre - 317 Huron Road, Clinton Dementia, Safety and the Caregiver Experience .
