June 8 is the
Walmart Walk
for Miracles
To the Editor;
Save a date on your summer calendar
for Sun., June 8 for the 1 lth annual Wal -
mart Walk for Miracles at Springbank
Park along the Thames River in London.
This event supports our local London
Children's Hospital and the Children's
Miracle Network.
The event will go on rain or shine.
By walking with us, you join over
20,000 people across the country who
are going that extra step, that extra mile
resulting in raising millions for our local
children's hospitals.
Your participation helps raise aware-
ness and critical dollars for expensive,
life-saving equipment, education and
prevention programs along with vital
breakthrough medical research.
Every year, 2.6 million young Canadi-
ans are treated at children's hospitals in
Canada.
At London's Health Sciences Centre,
60% of those treated and cared for are
from outside London.
Together we can raise the much-
needed funds to ensure our hospital
stays strong.
Last year, the final total was pushed
over the $1 million mark!
Visit your Goderich Walmart store for
exciting charity events all in support of
the walk such as yummy BBQs, a car
wash, balloons and chocolate sales
- enjoy!
Sun., June 8 promises to be a fun -filled
day of merriment, characters, food,
champions and stories that will touch
your heart.
So Lace up your sneakers and join
those who are making a difference in a
child's life. Thank you for your
generosity.
You can register by visiting www.wal-
martwalkformiracles.ca or contact
Joanne Doherty at Goderich Walmart at
519-524-5060 for more information. See
you there!
See the difference, be the difference,
you are the difference.
Regards,
Joanne Doherty
